About me

My name is Julie Nijs and I am a PhD researcher at QLVL, KU Leuven. Using a range of quantitative methods such as linear and logistic regression, time series analysis, and information theory, I explore the underlying patterns and mechanisms that drive language variation and language change. Currently, I am mainly working on the predictability of language change and on measuring morphological and syntactic complexity.
